Technology to promote energy transition trend in Vietnam

On November 3, 2022, the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) and Air Liquide held a technology workshop to promote the trend of energy transition in Vietnam focusing on 3 pillars: offshore wind power, hydrogen, CCUS.

Dr. Nguyen Anh Duc - Director of the Vietnam Petroleum Institute gave the opening speech of the workshop

In the opening speech of the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Anh Duc - Director of the Vietnam Petroleum Institute said that the workshop will focus on discussing 3 pillars of energy transition: offshore wind power, hydrogen, CCUS. This was a good opportunity for parties to discuss solutions to overcome challenges in the application of hydrogen and CCUS technologies to a number of specific projects serving the energy transition process, contributing to the realisation of Vietnam's goal of achieving net zero by 2050.

Mr. Jan Kollmus – Managing Director of Air Liquide E&C Singapore in his closing remarks

The closing speech was delivered by Mr. Jan Kollmus - Managing Director of Air Liquide E&C Singapore. He affirmed that energy transition is the topic that no one can do alone, it needs cooperate mindset, especially technology cooperation to develop a comprehensive solution towards the country and global goal of reducing emissions. Air Liquide expressed its desire to cooperate with Petrovietnam to deploy new technology application solutions in the energy transition trend in Vietnam.
