On the side of Petrovietnam, there were Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Manh Hung – President and CEO; leaders in the Board of Directors, the Executive Management Board, heads of Divisions/ Administration Office of the Group, leaders of subsidiaries and branches of the Group.
At the ceremony, Mr. Phan Anh Minh - Head of Organization and Human Resource Management Division announced the decision of the Group’s Board of Directors on the term appointment of Mr. Duong Manh Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) to the position of Vice President of the Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Directors Hoang Quoc Vuong emphasized that Mr. Duong Manh Son has worked in the Oil and Gas industry for a long time, experienced many positions and always successfully completed all assigned tasks. With his prestige, capacity and experience, Mr. Duong Manh Son was trusted to hold the position of Vice President of the Group.

According to Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong, the Group and its units have fulfilled and over-fulfilled the target of 2022, which is an important premise for the Group to develop in the coming years. In 2023, the Group continues to face many difficulties and challenges, in that context, it is necessary to consolidate the Group’s Executive Management Board. Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong believed that with his work experience, qualities and capabilities, Mr. Duong Manh Son would, together with the Executive Management Board, overcome difficulties and challenges, and achieve new results in the coming years.
At the same time, Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong wished the Group’s leaders, Divisions and units would continue to facilitate and support new Vice President Duong Manh Son to complete the assigned tasks.

Delivering speech to accept the assignment, new Vice President Duong Manh Son emphasized that, during his 28 years of working in the Oil and Gas industry, through various positions, he felt fortunate to work in groups with aspiration to rise up for the goal of building and sustainably developing the oil and gas industry. Vice President Duong Manh Son expressed his gratitude for the trust of the Group’s leaders and officers who assigned the new responsibilities. In his new position, Mr. Duong Manh Son committed to work together with the Group’s Executive Management Board, leaders and officers to complete the assigned tasks, meet the beliefs of the Group’s leaders, officers and employees.

Petrovietnam Vice President Duong Manh Son was born in 1969, professionally qualified as Master of Business Administration, Mechanical Engineer; Working for more than 20 years at PV GAS, holding many positions as key leader of PV GAS.
From February 2009, he held the position as Deputy General Director, Standing Deputy General Director of PV GAS; From May 2015, he held the position as Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of PV GAS. At the same time, he held the position as Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Secretary of the Party Committee of PV GAS. On 1st September 2021, he assumed the position as in charge of PV GAS Board of Directors; and from 24th September 2021, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Group, Secretary of the Party Committee - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PV GAS.
During his work, Mr. Duong Manh Son has received many awards from the Party, State, ministries and localities, most notably: Second-class Labor Medal, Third-class Labor Medal, and Certificate of Merit from Prime Minister... Also during the period, Petrovietnam Gas Corporation received the noble title of Labor Hero in the innovation period and many honors for the best enterprises in Vietnam and the region
