The Group’s Chairman of the Board of Directors receives the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam

At the meeting, Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong congratulated Mr. Sandeep Arya - Indian Ambassador to Vietnam in his new position, thanked the Ambassador for visiting Petrovietnam and shared about some of India’s oil and gas activities as well as the development orientation of the energy, oil and gas industry of the Government of India in the coming time.

Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong emphasized the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and India over the past 50 years. The cooperation between the two countries has been increasingly consolidated and strengthened in many fields. Mr. Vuong also shared with the Ambassador about the development strategy of Petrovietnam in the coming years.

Petrovietnam sets the goal that, in addition to developing core areas, the Group is very interested in and focusing on the development of renewable energy projects, towards the goal of the Government of Vietnam in implementing the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050.

On the occasion, on behalf of the Group’s leaders, Petrovietnam Chairman of the Board of Directors expressed his wish to continue to receive attention and active support from the Government, Ministries of India as well as the Ambassador personally in promoting effective cooperation between Petrovietnam and Indian companies in the oil and gas sector as well as other sectors related to energy and technology.

Ambassador Sandeep Arya sincerely thanked Chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong for taking the time to receive the delegation and exchange ideas to promote cooperation in the oil and gas sector between the two countries. The Ambassador affirmed, in his position as Ambassador, he was ready to act as a bridge, support and closely coordinate with the authorities of India to create favorable conditions for Petrovietnam and its subsidiaries to have opportunities to cooperate in many fields with Indian oil and gas companies. Recently, the Government of India has been promoting activities in the field of oil and gas exploration to attract foreign investment. On the occasion, the Ambassador proposed Petrovietnam’s leaders and working group come to India to discuss new potential cooperation opportunities.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to actively exchange information, share experiences and cooperation opportunities in the coming time.
