On March 26, in Hanoi, Mr. Le Manh Hung, Chairman of the Members’ Council of Petrovietnam, hosted a meeting with Ms. Cindy Khoo, Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Singapore, a key economic agency under Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The meeting was also attended by senior representatives of Enterprise Singapore responsible for Southeast Asia and Vietnam. On the Petrovietnam side, Deputy CEO Le Manh Cuong, along with leaders from the Power and Renewable Energy Division and the Group’s Office, were present.

Overview of the working session

During the meeting, Chairman Le Manh Hung underscored the strong and time-honored relationship between Vietnam and Singapore, especially following the recent elevation of bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He reaffirmed that Petrovietnam highly values and seeks to expand cooperation with Singaporean enterprises, particularly in the energy sector.

Chairman Le Manh Hung noted that, in addition to traditional areas of collaboration such as logistics and oil and gas technical services, Petrovietnam is actively researching and implementing renewable energy projects, including offshore wind power, as part of the Group’s sustainable development strategy.

Given the increasing demand for clean energy, Chairman Le Manh Hung expressed his aspiration for Ms. Cindy Khoo to act as a key facilitator in strengthening cooperation between Petrovietnam and Singaporean partners and businesses. He emphasized the importance of developing feasible mechanisms and solutions for exporting renewable energy from Vietnam to Singapore, particularly the offshore wind power export project between PTSC and Sembcorp Utilities.

She also reaffirmed Enterprise Singapore’s commitment to assisting Petrovietnam and its subsidiaries in expanding and exploring investment opportunities in Singapore’s renewable energy sector, thereby enhancing energy security and fostering economic growth for both nations.
