In the top 100 of VNR500 in 2021, there are many enterprises in Petrovietnam such as Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) - 17; Petrovietnam Power Corporation - 43; Vietsovpetro - 48; Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) - 56.
At the ceremony, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), Petrovietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans), Vietnam Public Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PVCombank), and Petroleum General Distribution Services Joint Stock Company (PSD - a subsidiary of PETROSETCO) received the honor of large-scale enterprises with effective and stable business achievements. The oil and gas units have shown resilience, overcome difficulties and challenges with flexible and effective management of fluctuation, strong financial potential, established a position in the market, and made a significant contribution to the stability and recovery of the Vietnamese economy in the recent period.

Petrovietnam has fulfilled the oil production target of the whole year (9.72 million tons) 39 days earlier with 10.97 million tons, exceeding 1.25 million tons (≈ 13%) of the year plan; fulfilled domestic oil production target of the whole year 42 days earlier with 9.10 million tons, exceeding 1.11 million tons (≈ 14%) of the year plan; fulfilled overseas oil production target of the whole year 28 days ahead of schedule with 1.87 million tons, exceeding 140 thousand tons (≈8.0%) of the year plan.
The Group has fulfilled fertilizer production target of the whole year 14 days earlier with 1.91 million tons, exceeding 286 thousand tons (≈ 18%) of the year plan, an increase of 6.0% compared to 2020. Total oil production of the Group reached 6.37 million tons, exceeding 0.1% of the year plan, an increase of 9.5% compared to 2020.

Most of the Group’s production targets were fulfilled 14- 42 days ahead of schedule, the Group’s financial targets were fulfilled 2-3 months ahead of schedule and had high growth compared to 2020.
The Group’s total revenue in 2021 reached 620.2 trillion dong, exceeding 26.4% of the year plan, an increase of 28% compared to 2020. Total profit before tax in 2021 reached 45.0 trillion dong, exceeding 2.6 times of the year plan, an increase of 2.2 times compared to 2020. The Group completed the payment to the State budget 3 months earlier with 112.5 trillion dong, exceeding 80% of the year plan, an increase of 36% compared to 2020.

2021 is also a special year marking 15 years of construction and development, VNR500 is a prestigious ranking built on the basis of research results, independent evaluation according to international standards of Vietnam Report and published annually by VietNamNet. This year’s VNR500 announcement ceremony is held with the support of the business community, meeting the conditions of adaptation in the next normal period, continuing to honor business representatives who not only demonstrate excellence in financial strength and communication but also show growth potential, sustainable development level, quality of governance and position in the market.
