Petrovietnam donates 1.3 million USD to COVID-19 vaccine fund

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) on Tuesday donated 30 billion VND (1.3 million USD) to Vietnam’s COVID-19 vaccine fund.
With drastic and persistent action to overcome bottlenecks for smooth production, promoted management efficiency, and support from positive oil prices, in the first four months of 2021, Petrovietnam has over-fulfilled most of the assigned targets at high level and had strong growth over the same period.
With the determination to ensure absolute safety, not to disrupt production and business activities in the situation of Covid-19 epidemic outbreak, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) set the epidemic prevention and control as a key task and it is thoroughly implemented to all member units and employees of the whole Group.
On 7th April 2021, Fitch Ratings, the world’s leading credit rating agency, raised the outlook of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) from “Stable” to “Positive”, rated Petrovietnam Standalone Credit Profile (SCP) at “BB+”, and long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at “BB”.
On 7th April 2021 in Hanoi, Mr. Le Manh Hung – President and CEO of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) chaired the regular online meeting with leaders of member units on the business results in March, the first Quarter and preparing for the work plan in April as well as the next quarters. In the first Quarter of 2021, the business and investment activities of Petrovietnam continued to be stable, consolidated financial targets of the entire Group were over-fulfilled, the amount contributed to the State budget was over 19,000 billion dong.
On 29 March 2021, an online ceremony was held for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI), represented by Dr. Nguyen Anh Duc, General Director of VPI, and Großmann Ingenieur Consult GmbH (GICON®), represented by Dr. Hagen Hilse, Managing Director of GICON®.
On 24th March in Hanoi, PetroVietnam President and CEO Le Manh Hung had a meeting with Mr. Yuji Kurata - General Director of Japan Vietnam Petroleum Company (JVPC).
On 3rd March 2021, ASCOPE Secretary General Tran Hong Nam attended the online Oil Capacity Building Program on Energy Security, hosted by Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) in collaboration with the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE).
On 29th November 2020, Cuulong JOC (CLJOC) has achieved 2020 production target, which was 32 days ahead the schedule assigned by the MC for the year 2020. On this occasion, Petrovietnam’s President and CEO Le Manh Hung has had a letter to congratulate to CLJOC.
On 8th December 2020 in Hanoi, PetroVietnam’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Hoang Quoc Vuong welcomed and worked with Mr. Nikita F. Shut, General Director of Vietgazprom .
By the end of November 2020, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) continues to maintain stable production and business activities with positive results achieved for many targets in a difficult and challenging year. In particular, 10 member units have over-fulfilled the profit target for the year 2020.
From 17th to 20th November in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the 38th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM 38) and related meetings with the topic “Energy transition towards sustainable development in the ASEAN region”
In October and the accumulated 10 months of 2020, in extremely difficult conditions, the production, business and investment activities of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) continued to be maintained. Up to now, Petrovietnam is one of the very few oil and gas enterprises in the world that does not lose money.
On 28th October 2020, within the framework of the Indo-Pacific Business Forum in Hanoi, the signing ceremony of “Agreement on key terms of the joint venture contract for Son My LNG port warehouse project” was held between PV GAS and AES Group (USA).
On October 2, 2020, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) and FECON Joint Stock Company (Stock code: FCN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration, research and development, and joint infrastructure projects in energy in Vietnam. Dr. Nguyen Anh Duc - VPI General Director and Mr. Pham Viet Khoa - Chairman of FECON Board of Directors, on behalf of the two parties, signed this important document.
The 38th ASEAN Senior Officials Online Meeting on Energy (SOME 38) hosted by the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade took place in Hanoi from 24th to 27th August 2020.
At 1:15 am on 2nd August 2020, Vietsovpetro officially marked the event of obtaining 500 million m3 gas at Thien Ung field, Block 04-3 after nearly 4 years (1,322 days) of operation since the time of receiving the first gas and condensate flow (19th December 2016) to put into operation from well TU-6.
