In mid-May 2021, development work on exploration well No.1 of West Yareyaginskoye field was completed, the results showed an inflow of oil of 32m3/day, confirmed the presence of C1 oil reserves recoverable with the amount of 899 thousand tons in the upper Devonian sediments and prospect of geological exploration at the field.

In 2022, RUSVIETPETRO plans to conduct seismic exploration by CDP-3D method in the Zapadno-Yareyaginsky underground area.

The results of the joint venture between Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam (RUSVIETPETRO) once again demonstrate the solidarity and professionalism of the Russian-Vietnamese workforce in the joint venture. Highly qualified and capable oil and gas officers master hard-to-reach resources of the arduous Arctic region, constantly perfect techniques and technologies, confidently move forward.

Despite the difficult climatic conditions of the Far North, RUSVIETPETRO maintains oil production at 3 million tons of “black gold” per year.

RUSVIETPETRO, the joint venture between Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam in Russia was established in 2008 under the Joint Declaration signed by the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Vietnam.

Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam own 51% and 49% respectively in RUSVIETPETRO.

RUSVIETPETRO reached production milestone of 10 million tons of oil in May 2015, and 20 million tons in March 2018.
