VPI conducts industrial testing of water-in-oil demulsification chemical

The Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) has conducted research on manufacturing a demulsifier chemical to improve the efficiency of water separation in crude oil during production and transportation in the Cuu Long basin. The objective of this study is to produce a suilable demulsifier chemical with the characteristics of Vietnam's crude oil and trial test in field, thereby commercializing the product and replacing imported products.

In order to implement Petrovietnam’s energy transition strategy, especially to take important steps for the formation and development of the offshore renewable energy industry, from 14th September 2022, Petrovietnam delegation led by President and CEO Le Manh Hung visited and worked with Equinor in Norway. Joining the delegation were member of the Board of Directors Tran Binh Minh, Vice President Pham Tien Dzung, PTSC General Director Le Manh Cuong and representatives of the Group’s Divisions.

ASCOPE successfully organizes 6th Mid-year Meeting of Sub-Committees

From 2nd to 5th August 2022, the 6th Mid-year Meeting of the ASEAN Council on Petroleum (ASCOPE) Sub-Committees chaired by ASCOPE Secretary General Tran Hong Nam was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand. Attending the meeting were more than 70 members from the Southeast Asian member countries. The Petrovietnam delegation including members of the Secretariat and representatives of the Group’s Divisions participated in the Sub-Committees.

ASCOPE attends 40th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Energy

From 28th June to 1st July 2022, ASCOPE Secretary General Tran Hong Nam representing 10 members of the ASEAN Council on Petroleum (ASCOPE) attended the 40th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Energy and relevant meetings chaired online by the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Cambodia with representatives of the energy management agencies of ASEAN countries, the ASEAN Secretariat, the ASEAN Energy Center, the International Energy Agency (IEA), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and partner countries (China, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, India, Russian Federation, USA, European Union).
