The 10th National Brand Award Ceremony for Vietnam in 2026 was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung attended and delivered a keynote address at the event. Also in attendance were Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung, leaders of central and local ministries and agencies, and representatives of the business community.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced that 499 products from 227 businesses have been recognized as achieving the Vietnam National Brand status in 2026. These products were selected through an evaluation and assessment process based on core criteria: Quality - Innovation - Pioneering Capability.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that national brands are not only assets of businesses but also a competitive resource, contributing to enhancing the nation's prestige and position. National brands need to be built on a foundation of quality, innovation, pioneering capabilities, and consumer trust.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to shift from cost advantage to value advantage; from processing and assembly to innovation and design; and from market participation to establishing a competitive position. Businesses need to consider their brand as a long-term strategic asset, proactively investing in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation , and developing products in a green and sustainable direction.

The Prime Minister also called for strengthening technological mastery, protecting intellectual property, enhancing domestic value, and proactively conquering international markets. Brand building must be linked to a business culture of integrity, transparency, and responsibility towards employees, the environment, and society. The National Brand title is not the ultimate goal but should become a foundation for businesses to continue innovating and reaching global heights.

For PETROVIETNAM, these requirements present the task of continuing to promote the pioneering role of the national energy enterprise; linking brand development with improving technological capabilities, product quality, management efficiency, and social responsibility. Through this, each product and service not only builds the company's reputation but also contributes to spreading the image of a professional, trustworthy, and competitive Vietnamese brand in the international market.

At the 10th Vietnam National Brand Award Ceremony in 2026, themed "The Flow of Vietnamese Brands," held on the evening of October 16th at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), five member units of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group (PETROVIETNAM) were honored, further affirming the prestige, quality of products and services, and competitiveness of businesses in the oil and gas and energy sectors.

The recognition of these five units demonstrates the efforts of businesses in improving product and service quality, innovating production and business operations, and building reputation in the market. At the same time, it contributes to affirming the diversity of the PETROVIETNAM ecosystem, from fertilizer production and gas supply to oil and gas technical services.

PV GAS, PV GAS CNG, and PTSC continue to demonstrate their role as high-quality gas and technical service enterprises, serving the energy industry. For PVFCCo - Phu My and PVCFC, the award further affirms their position in the fertilizer sector, supporting agricultural production and the domestic agricultural input supply chain.

The fact that five PETROVIETNAM member units were honored at the 2026 National Brand Award Ceremony is a significant milestone in the journey of building and developing the brand. This also serves as motivation for businesses to continue improving quality, innovating, increasing value contributions to the economy, and further affirming PETROVIETNAM's position in the development of the national energy and industry sector.

This is not only an acknowledgment of the achievements made, but also a requirement for units to continue improving their management capacity, promoting innovation, developing high value-added products and services, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of Vietnamese brands.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung emphasized the significance of the 23-year journey of building and developing the Vietnam National Brand Program, with 10 selection cycles. From 30 enterprises in 2008, by the 2026 selection cycle, the number of enterprises with products achieving the title had increased to 227 enterprises.

According to the Minister, these results demonstrate the enduring strength of credibility in business operations. Brand value lies not only in recognition at a particular point in time, but is affirmed through the ability to maintain quality, reputation, and customer trust through market fluctuations. The fact that 14 businesses have consistently maintained their title across all 10 selection cycles is proof of their persistent and consistent brand building efforts.

Minister Le Manh Hung stated that, given the development demands of the new era, the Vietnam National Brand Program needs to move beyond its role of honoring achievements and become a driving force for businesses to thrive, with each selection cycle serving as a step towards raising the standards for the business community. The three core values of "Quality - Innovation - Pioneering Capability" will continue to be maintained, while the requirements for competitiveness, management, and brand development will be increasingly enhanced.

To realize this direction, the Minister emphasized several key tasks: finalizing the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam's National Brand until 2035, with a vision to 2045; strengthening support for businesses throughout the entire brand lifecycle, from building, managing, and valuing to protecting intellectual property and handling disputes abroad; linking brand building with trade, investment, and tourism promotion; and effectively utilizing free trade agreements and the network of Vietnamese trade offices abroad.

In addition, the Minister requested that the selection criteria be further improved according to international standards, post-recognition monitoring be strengthened, and that those who no longer meet the requirements be resolutely removed from the program. Through this, the National Brand title must truly be a guarantee of the quality, reputation, and competitiveness of Vietnamese products and businesses.
