Petrovietnam has made important contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.
After 50 years of accompanying the country, under the leadership of the Party and State, Petrovietnam has formed a "backbone" energy infrastructure system of national strategic importance - the driving force for the country's socio-economic development, demonstrated through the proud achievements of "5 An" and "5 Nhat".
Specifically, with “ 5 An ”, Petrovietnam plays a key role in supplying essential energy sources, firmly ensuring national energy security. The Group has exploited 441.5 million tons of oil, 196 billion m³ of gas; effectively operated power plants and oil refineries, meeting 60-70% of gasoline demand, 70-80% of civil gas demand and about 10% of national electricity output.
At the same time, Petrovietnam also contributes to ensuring food security when the Group's nitrogen plants supply 70-80% of the domestic demand for nitrogen fertilizer (urea), directly supporting agricultural production.
In the field of national security and defense, Petrovietnam plays an important role through exploration and exploitation activities in the East Sea, contributing to affirming national sovereignty, while supplying 100% of specialized fuel for national defense.
Not only playing the role of a pillar of the economy, Petrovietnam is also a solid foundation of social security, always considering this as a value that creates the corporate cultural identity. The Group has spent tens of thousands of billions of VND to support people across the country, with special priority given to remote, border and island areas; building schools, promoting the STEM practice room model - demonstrating the shift from supporting "living" to creating conditions for sustainable "livelihood". In particular, Petrovietnam considers investing in people as a long-term investment - creating a foundation of knowledge, skills and opportunities for the younger generation to rise up and contribute to sustainable development.
Two fertilizer enterprises - member units of Petrovietnam are named in the Top 10 Brands with Impressive Growth
Along with that, Petrovietnam has affirmed its reputation and position as a leading economic group in the country with the achievement of "5 Best": The largest enterprise, with total consolidated assets exceeding 1 million billion VND, equity capital of more than 556 trillion VND; The unit with the highest budget contribution, with an average of 160 trillion VND/year in recent years, accounting for 80.3% of the total budget payment of 18 corporations and general companies in the state-owned enterprise sector; The enterprise with the highest profit, when the period 2020-2025 reached 316 trillion VND, equivalent to an average of 2.2 billion USD/year; The only enterprise to win many noble awards in science and technology, including 6 Ho Chi Minh awards and 4 State awards, along with dozens of prestigious domestic and international inventions. In particular, as a leading enterprise achieving the highest level in social security activities, in the 2020-2025 period alone, it has spent more than 5.13 trillion VND on community programs.
In addition to domestic awards, Petrovietnam has also been honored in international and regional rankings. The Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking (500 largest enterprises in Southeast Asia) announced in June 2025 honored Petrovietnam in 11th place in the region, 5th in the energy sector, and the largest enterprise in Vietnam . This result affirms Petrovietnam's impressive achievements in revenue and effective operation capacity in a volatile market context.
At the program, two member units of Petrovietnam, Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC, Ca Mau Fertilizer) and Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo - Phu My) were honored in the Top 10 Impressive Growth Brands .
PVCFC is always a pioneer in applying modern technology in production.
This is a testament to Petrovietnam's mission of contributing to ensuring food security with two key member units in this field supplying 70-80% of the country's demand for nitrogen fertilizer (urea). This stable supply not only helps stabilize the price of agricultural materials but also directly supports farmers, increases crop productivity and ensures national food production. PVCFC and PVFCCo - Phu My are always pioneers in applying modern technology, effectively utilizing domestic gas resources to produce high-quality fertilizers, ensuring national food security and orienting development towards the goal of net emissions of "0".
High-quality, environmentally friendly fertilizer lines developed such as Phu My NPK containing beneficial microorganisms, Phu My Organic 60, or NPK using Potassium Sulphate (SOP)... all aim to improve soil, increase nutrient absorption efficiency, reduce leaching and limit greenhouse gas emissions. This is an important link in the agricultural value chain, demonstrating the deep connection between the energy industry and the agricultural sector.
PVFCCo - Phu My develops many lines of high-quality, environmentally friendly fertilizers
